Building efficient and reliable IoT-applications in Cloud environments requires facing several challenges. The devices involved are getting smaller and smarter against by the conditions and constraints to be satisfied which are increasingly challenging. For example, how to be able to collect and manage the massive amounts of data, and then sharing it with other connected “things” and/or prospective software; or how to provide appropriate Cloud resources and/or mechanisms to provision, manage and operate such resources; and finally how to ensure reliable integration and interaction between these resources and prospective third-part services?
