Introduction

Under the generous auspices of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud – may God protect him – the First International Conference on Anti-Cybercrime will take place at (will be announced soon), in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Al Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University has organized this conference in response to the interest in cybercrime, which has created a challenge that threatens the security of society based on the recent statistical information. As information technology becomes widely used to handle most of aspects of global communication, the level of cybercrime has increased considerably. The field of cybercrime is a multidisciplinary area that includes law, computer science, finance, telecommunications, and data analysis. This conference provides an insight on the need for awareness of the dangers of cybercrime on the security of the individual and on humanity. The conference also shows the sanctions of cybercrime stipulated by law along with solutions that enhance information security protection. Furthermore, the conference presents a variety of contemporary perspectives on issues related to cybercrime. This conference brings together professionals from academia and industry as well as officials from governments from all over the world who have the expertise in issues related to cybercrime and digital forensics. The conference program includes many activities such as presentations of peer-reviewed papers, workshops, posters, exhibitions, invited tutorials, and opportunities for interaction.
