Welcome to the second workshop on Semantic Data Analytics and Bioinformatics (SDAB 2015) to be held in November 2015, in conjunction with IEEE BIBM 2015 conference in Washington, D.C. The workshop aims (1) to bring together researchers from disciplines related to semantic data analytics and computational biology to share their research findings and their insights; (2) to serve as a forum for participants to discuss the challenges and the opportunities in the fields of semantic data analytics and bioinformatics; and (3) to provide a networking opportunity for collaborations in regional, national, and international research programmes. Potential topics include, but are not limited to: Semantic representation of biological dataSemantic integration of heterogeneous biological databasesApplications of ontologies in Systems BiologySemantic web technologies for biological data and analysis Semantic webs and ontology-driven biological data integration methodsSemantic representation of biological dataSemantic machine learning for big biological data analysisMining semantic networks of bioinformatics resources We invite you to submit papers with unpublished, original research describing recent advances on the areas related to this workshop. All papers will undergo peer review by the conference program committee. All papers accepted will be included in the Workshop Proceedings published by the IEEE Computer Society Press and will be available at the workshops.
