SPE Well Testing: Technology, Operations, Sampling, and Reservoir Characterisation in the Current Price Environment Workshop

Well testing provides primary data for reserve determination, well productivity, and properties of the fluid and formation. It consists of mainly acquiring downhole and/or surface pressure, temperature, flow rate data, and fluid samples. The formation and reservoir information obtained from pressure transient measurements are essential because they reflect the in-situ dynamic properties of the reservoir under realistic production conditions.
