Hikers interested in visiting the Burgess Shale Walcott Quarry; a UNESCO World Heritage site! A guided hike conducted by the Burgess Shale Geoscience Foundation disclosing exquisitely preserved 505 million year old fossils.
Objectives
Participants will be exposed to how Earth and its processes shape our lives through the interpretation of the half-billion year old fossils of the Burgess Shale within a geological setting.
