Introduction

From 29 August to 1 September, the capital of the Netherlands with its famous canal-ridden inner city (UNESCO world heritage), will host the 15th edition of the European Conference on the Mathematics of Oil Recovery. The biennial ECMOR conference gathers applied mathematicians and geosciences engineers from both academia and industry to discuss the recent advances in the mathematics of oil recovery.
