International Workshop on Nonlinear Partial Differential Equations and Scientific Computing

Nonlinear partial differential equations (PDEs) arise in many areas of applied sciences. Analysis and simulation are two basic tools for the study of nonlinear PDEs. This workshop will bring applied and computational as well as pure mathematicians together to exchange the latest developments in the study of nonlinear PDEs and scientific computing, identify future directions and unsolved questions, and actively initiate collaborations. The workshop also provides an opportunity for local graduate students and junior researchers to learn the state-of-the-art knowledge in nonlinear PDEs and scientific computing as well as their applications. The workshop is held on the occasion of the 60th birthday of Professor Peter A. Markowich.
