Introduction

The Holm conference provides a forum for the presentation and discussion of the latest developments in the field of electric contacts and the application of recent advances in materials and processes in electric, electronic and telecommunication equipment. The 2015 conference had 62 papers over three full days including the Mort Antler lecture.  We expect a similar response in 2016.

Practicing designers, engineers, physicists and research scientists - those new to the field and those experienced will find this conference very beneficial for learning as well as providing opportunities for international networking. The international contributors come from universities and industries in USA, Austria, Canada, Japan, China, France, Switzerland, Russia, Germany, United Kingdom and other countries. These papers provide the attendees with up-to-date information on a wide range of subjects that makes this conference so attractive to the practicing engineer.
