Software-Defined Networks (SDN), Network Function Virtualization (NFV) and Software-Defined Network-based Cloud Computing (SDNCC) could be seen as different expressions of Software-Defined Infrastructures (SDI) of an overall transformation trend, which is impacting deeply Telecom and ICT industries. This trend is transforming also several other Industries, bringing “Softwarization” to optimize costs and processes and to bring new values in the infrastructures. In particular, SDN, NFV and network programmability are creating the conditions to reinvent network and service architectures.
This timely flagship conference would shed light on the fundamental technology components and systems for Software-Defined infrastructures, clouds and services in order to fully exploit its potential for efficiently handling of heterogeneous physical resources across wire and wireless networks and datacenter domains and for easy and fast deployment of new services. the IEEE NetSoft aims to bring together academia and industry to jointly review and ponder maturing developments related to all aspects of softwarization.
