In the active response to the challenges of global food safety, CIFST and IUFoST have jointly held the International Forum on Food Safety in Beijing for consecutive three years since 2010 with the strong support of the Office of the Food Safety Commission of the State Council, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Industry and Information. By virtue of the efforts and accumulation in the three years, The Forum has become the brand conference in the Chinese food sector and been highly recognized by the sector at home and abroad.
The Forum is committed to service and problem solving. In the context that “food safety is a common challenge the world facing to no nation is immune”, it has explored the whole industrial chain in depth in the recent three years based on risk management, the heart of food safety management, and been active in coping with the information imbalance between consumers and food producers and regulators. The Forum summarizes the five challenges facing China's food safety and response measures, demonstrating that the forum is "high-end, scientific, and forward-looking".
2013 Forum is co-organized by CIFST, IUFoST, and China National Center for Food Safety Risk Assessment. With a theme of Food Safety Risk Control and Standards Construction, 2013 Forum addresses how to build society-wide food safety risk awareness and focuses on the core issues and hot topics in the process of China’s food safety. It will drive ahead the continued progress in China's food safety work based on the advanced experience in the international food safety process and the integrated global wisdom on food safety!
