Design and Research of a Large Span Dry Coal Shed

Dry coal shed, Wind tunnel experiment, Structure form selection, Prestressed cable truss

Design and research are done to a coal shed with the span of 163m, the length of 404m, and the rise of 51m. Wind tunnel experiment is performed since the wind load is complicate considering the neighboring coal shed and the openings on gable wall which cause the wind load differs from code. Calculation is done both to quadrangular pyramid latticed shell and to prestressed cable inverted triangle truss, and the latter is chosen as structure form. Structure layout, structure design and calculation are done.
