The test oracle problem is one of the most challenging problems in software testing. Metamorphic testing (MT) is an effective method for alleviating the oracle problem. MET: The First International Workshop on Metamorphic Testing will bring together researchers in academia and industry in order to provide a platform for discussing research results and experiences in the area of metamorphic testing. The ultimate goal of MET is to provide a platform for metamorphic testing researchers and practitioners who are interested in MT to present their novel ideas and discuss the state of research in metamorphic testing.
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
1. Guidelines and techniques for the construction of MRs or MT test cases.
2. Prioritization and minimization of MRs or MT test cases.
3. Quality assessment mechanisms for MRs or MT test cases (e.g. metrics and adequacy criteria)
4. Automated generation of likely MRs.
5. Combination of MRs.
6. Formal methods involving MRs.
7. Case studies and applications.
8. Tools.
9. Surveys.
10. Empirical studies.
11. Integration/comparison with other techniques.
12. Novel applications, perspectives, or theories inspired by MT, which can be beyond conventional software testing topics.
