Introduction

The International Baltic Conference on Databases and Information Systems (DB&IS) is a continuing series of biennial Baltic conferences on databases and information systems, which have been held in Trakai (1994), Tallinn (1996, 2002, 2008, 2014), Riga (1998, 2004, 2010), and Vilnius (2000, 2006, 2012).

DB&IS is an international forum among researchers and developers of databases, information systems and related fields. The purpose of this conference series is to bring together researchers, practitioners and PhD students and provide an environment to exchange research findings and ideas on the matters, where development of reliable and sustainable systems, with data in the central role, has become crucial in modern diverse IS engineering. The conference features original research and application papers on the theory, design and implementation of today's information systems on a set of themes and issues.
