European Conference on Physical Modelling in Geotechnics (EUROFUGE)

In the continuity of a recent cycle of regional conferences initiated in London 2008 and pursued in Delft 2012, this European Conference is organized by IFSTTAR, Geotechnical Engineering, Environment, Natural hazards and Earth Sciences Department (GERS), on behalf of the Technical Committee TC104 “Physical Modelling in Geotechnics” of the International Society for Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering (ISSMGE), and of the French Geotechnical Society (CFMS).

Five themes will be considered:

• Natural Hazards

• Renewable Energies

• Infrastructure

• Physical modelling Facilities

• Back to basics (state of the art, modelling techniques & limitations, cross-tests, scaling laws)

Simultaneously to the conference, special sessions for technicians will be organized, focusing on facilities, instrumentation and data acquisition.
