Transdisciplinary knowledge is critical to the transformation into a knowledge society that generates, processes, shares and makes available to all members of the society innovative knowledge that may be used to improve the human condition. To succeed, the future knowledge society also needs a new kind of leadership that always thinks for others to help changing the society from a highly competitive one to that of a more accommodating one.
The general topics addressed by TransLS include, but are not limited to:
How can technology help to realize TransLS?
What do industries and society need from us?
Can we be making better use of theory (both established and cutting edge)?
How has the lived experience over the past 10 years, and how might it continue to evolve as we look toward the next decade?
How TransLS may help people in underdeveloped communities, countries and regions?
What are the key unanswered substantive questions about TLS that we need to address over the next decade?
