The Second International Conference on Sulphoaluminate Cement: New progress of low carbon cementitious materials

Sulphoaluminate cement is a kind of special cement and low carbon cement with advantages like low calcining temperature, rapid strength development, high strength, low basicity and corrosion resistance to seawater and saline environment. Sulphoaluminate cement has found wide applications in marine concrete structure, special engineering materials and cement products, etc. At present, as energy saving and low-carbon development has been globally acknowledged, low carbon preparation and application of cementitious materials have become the main research directions, so that researchers from all over the world have shown great interests on the development of preparation and application technology of sulphoaluminate cement, which is a typical low carbon cement. Recently, rapid progress is achieved and will further expand. Meanwhile, the application fields of sulphoaluminate cement grows continuously. 

China is by far the only country in the world that implements sulphoaluminate cement industrialization and large-scale production. In 2013, sponsored by the China Concrete & Cement Products Association (CCPA) and Wuhan University of Technology (WUT), the First International Conference on Sulphoaluminate Cement was held in Wuhan, China to present related research outputs, which received sound responses. Now we’re pleased to announce that the Second International Conference on Sulphoaluminate Cement sponsored by CCPA and WUT will also be held in Wuhan, during November 25-27, 2016. The 2016 conference will give opportunity to learn about the latest sulphoaluminate cement developments and understanding, to network and make contacts with experts and practitioners from around the world, and to promote the development and enhancement of low carbon cement. Now we call for papers from researchers both inside and outsideChina.
