The 4th Asia-Oceania Algae Innovation Summit (AOAIS 2016)

On behalf of the international and local organizing committees, we cordially invite you to the 4th Asian-Oceania Algae Innovation Summit (AOAIS 2016). The Summit will be held at East Lake Hotel, Wuhan, China, on September 18-21, 2016.

Wuhan is known for great food, hospitality and mixture of traditional and modern cultures. The Summit is organized by the Institute of Hydrobiology of Chinese Academy of Sciences (IHB-CAS), Microalgae Biotechnology Center of State Development and Investment Corporation (MBC-SDIC), Chinese Society of Phycology and AOAIS International Organizing Committee. The Summit will highlight recent scientific and engineering breakthroughs in algal biotechnology. Strain development using synthetic and systems biology, innovations in algae cultivation, harvesting, extraction and conversion to various products, and valorization of algal biomass, and sustainability models will be presented. At the Summit, experts will also discuss the roles of algae in wastewater bioremediation and CO₂ capture and utilization.
