8th International Symposium on Multiphase Flow, Heat Mass Transfer and Energy Conversion

The 8th International Symposium on Multiphase Flow, Heat Mass Transfer and Energy Conversion ( ISMF 2016 ) will be held from December 17 to 19, 2016 in Chengdu, China.

This symposium is a series of international academic conferences organized by the State Key Laboratory of Multiphase Flow in Power Engineering. ISMF was started in 1984 from the China-US Seminar on Two-Phase Flow and Heat Transfer, which was launched by X.J. Chen Academician, director of Institute of engineering thermophysics in Xi’an Jiaotong University, and professor T.Nejat Veziroglu from Clean Energy Research Institute in University of Miami. The 2nd, 3rd, 4th International Symposium on Multiphase Flow and Heat Transfer were respectively held in 1989, 1994, and 1999. In 2005, the 5th meeting was successfully listed in AIP, named International Symposium on Multiphase Flow, Heat Mass Transfer and Energy Conversion and the conference proceedings were published by AIP and the full text were indexed by ISTP. So far, this top-of-the-line conference builds on the success of seven events held in 1984, 1989, 1994, 1999, 2005, 2009, 2012 in Xi’an China.

Building a sustainable energy system represents one of the mega-challenges in 21 century that have triggered a quest for alternative energy solutions both in academia and industry. The forthcoming ISMF 2016 is designed to provide an international opportunity for communication and collaboration essential to propel a multi-disciplinary dialogue on innovative and sustainable idea exchanges in multiphase flow research both in fundamentals and applications in this field. It will be a huge platform for global experts from universities, industry, R & D laboratories and government agencies.

The conference organizing committee will select the outstanding papers of this conference to international journals, and organize the special issues on international influential journals.
