2016 Biennial Conference of the International Association for Relationship Research

On behalf of the International Association for Relationship Research (IARR) I am excited to invite you to IARR 2016 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. IARR and its predecessors have a tradition of hosting warm, welcoming, and engaging conferences that invite the exchange of fascinating ideas in an atmosphere of openness and supportiveness. Having attended these conferences since graduate school, I can attest that this conference is a place where those new to the field can mingle comfortably with founding thinkers in the area. It is a conference that will stimulate researchers, practitioners, and policy makers to better understand all aspects of relationship functioning. The cross-disciplinary character of the conference should fit naturally in the diverse backdrop that is Toronto. Often described as the most diverse city in the world, Toronto also features the most green space of any North American city, and was rated the world’s most livable city by The Economist in 2015. The Sheraton Centre will play host to the conference. Its location on Queen Street West in the heart of downtown will allow easy access to Toronto’s multitude of world-class attractions.
