Introduction
Symposium on Smart Environment Technologies will be held in the frame of the 24th International Conference on Software, Telecommunications and Computer Networks (SoftCOM 2016), technically co-sponsored by the IEEE Communications Society (ComSoc), in attractive ambience of Split on September 22-24, 2016. Recent advances in areas like pervasive computing, machine learning, wireless and sensor networking enable various smart environment applications in everyday life. The main goal of this symposium is to present and discuss recent advances in technologies, architectures, algorithms and protocols for smart environments with emphasis on real smart environment applications.
