The nuclear covariant density functional theory, which combines the concepts of relativistic field theories and density functional theories for strongly interacting nuclear systems, has been applied very successfully to the description of a variety of nuclear structure phenomena. The workshop on “Covariant Density Functional Theory for Nuclear Structure” is aimed to present recent advances in the applications of covariant density functional theory in the nuclear structure research. It will allow fruitful discussions on the cutting-edge research and future development both in the experimental and theoretical aspects. An important goal will be to strengthen the international collaboration on this and relevant subjects.
This workshop is in coincidence with the successful commitment of the Oversea Distinguished Professor Program supported by MOE and the 75th birthday of Professor Peter Ring. A small celebration activity will be held on September 21 in the workshop dinner.
