Introduction
The 14th China-Japan-Korea Joint Symposium on Enzyme Engineering which will be held in Nanning, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, on Nov. 16-18, 2016. This symposium aims to exchange new ideas, the research results, development and future perspectives in enzyme engineering among researchers from China, Japan, and Korea. We believe that this event will bring together scientists, engineers, business leaders and government officials to foster and enhance collaborative contacts, and to exchange information in the many interdisciplinary areas of enzyme engineering. We look forward to seeing you in Nanning in November 2016.

The scientific program will include keynote and plenary lectures and oral presentations as well as poster sessions. The symposium program will be categorized to the following four topics:
1. Fundamentals of BiocatalysisⅠ(Discovery of New Biocatalysts, Protein Engineering, and Directed evolution)
2. Fundamentals of BiocatalysisⅡ(Enzyme Structure, Reaction Mechanism, Bioinformatics, and Metabolic Engineering)
3. Application of BiocatalystsⅠ(Bioconversion, Biorefinery, and Industrial Process)
4. Application of BiocatalystsⅡ(Bioremediation, Biosensor, and Application in Medicine)
