Introduction

Join the international tribology research community for the 3rd Annual STLE Tribology Frontiers Conference (TFC). The TFC program highlights the role tribology research can play in solving future scientific, engineering and societal challenges in a variety of fields and disciplines.

The 2016 TFC we will held at the historic Drake Hotel, located on Chicago's "Magnificent Mile" downtown. The TFC will feature more exciting invited speakers, unique presentations from the very popular Cutting Edge of Tribology session, as well as the opportunity to publish in a special issue of Tribology Letters. In addition, new tracks have been added specifically focused on research in tribochemistry, machine tribology and mechanics. Tribology researchers from more than 25 countries in North and South America, Asia and Europe are expected to attend the TFC.

Faculty members will find that the TFC is an excellent venue for graduate students and post-doctoral researchers to showcase their work and presentation skills while they network with top tribologists from around the world. STLE makes it easy to attend by providing low-cost registration fees and a student poster competition with cash prizes for the winners.
