The 18th International Symposium on Advanced Intelligent Systems (ISIS 2017)

On behalf of the organizing committee of the 18th International Symposium on Advanced Intelligent Systems (ISIS2017), I would like to cordially invite you to participate in the ISIS2017 which will be held in Daegu, South Korea on October 11 to 14, 2017.

On the purpose of promoting a cooperative research development relationship among Asian countries, the symposiums have been held alternately in Korea and Japan every year since 2000. It is 17 years old. We have a long history of true friendship and spiritual relationship between the Korean Institute of Intelligent Systems (KIIS) in Korea and the Society for Fuzzy Theory and Intelligent Informatics (SOFT) in Japan. Although the conferences have been held in Asia, a few hundreds of participants are from all over the world. Now, it has become one of the most leading and prestigious symposiums contributing to the advancement in intelligent systems in the world.

The purpose of this symposium is to share ideas, provide information, and enlarge human networks. It will open a lively scientific forum by bringing researchers, engineers and practitioners from diverse backgrounds all together to discuss and disseminate the latest state-of-the-art achievements, challenges and potential future directions.

The symposium will start with a welcome reception program and the technical programs will consist of plenary sessions and formal presentations including organized sessions and poster presentations. In addition to the technical program, the social events will offer the participants of ISIS2017 the opportunities of strengthening networks and interactions.

I would like to express my sincere appreciation to my members for their valuable contributions to ISIS2017. Also I would like to say many thanks to the overseas societies, institutes and associations sponsored for the symposium.

Daegu is one of the largest cities in Korea with over 2.5 million residents, which is located in south-eastern area of Korea. Please join the symposium and enjoy the colorful city of Daegu, Korea.
