10th International Nonlinear Wave and Chaos Workshop 2017 (NWCW17)

The 10th International Nonlinear Wave and Chaos Workshop (NWCW17) will be held in San Diego, California, 20-24 March 2017. Previous NWC Workshops were held in Kyoto, Japan (1994), Cologne, Germany (1997), Carlsbad, California (1999), Tromso, Norway (2001), Mumbai, India (2003), Fukuoka, Japan (2006), Beaulieu-sur-Mer, France (2008), San Diego, California (2010), and La Jolla, California (2013).

The workshop will be an informal one with strong interaction among the expert participants. Questions from the audience during the talks will be encouraged (extensive discussion can be continued after scheduled presentations).

The goal of this workshop is to be an interactive, friendly, informal platform for space plasma, laboratory plasma, and fusion physicists; atmospheric, ionospheric, and oceanic turbulence scientists; and astrophysicists and mathematicians discussing a common topic. The workshop aims for an even mix of observationalists and theorists. A limit of 35 attendees will allow for an effective workshop format; attendance is by invitation only. The objective is to have a diverse mixture of topics, ages, gender, and disciplines from our participants.
