Rock Mechanics in Civil and Environmental Engineering

Rock mechanics is virtually part of daily life in Switzerland.We live with numerous mountain tunnels and slopes.Rock mechanics offers better environmental solutions to presentations poster sessions and technical visits energy and infrastructure development, including hydropower, geothermal energy, radioactive waste repository, carbon storage, and mine rehabilitation.EUROCK 2010 is an ISRM Regional Symposium of Europe,organised by the Swiss Society for Soil and Rock Mechanics and the Laboratory for Rock Mechanics LMR) in the Swiss.Federal Institute of Technology Lausanne (EPFL), for the European rock mechanics community. We would like to welcome you to Switzerland in June 2010 to share, to cooperate, and to progress together.
