The conference offers a good opportunity to enhance international academic exchange on ICT related topics and to provide a platform for researchers to discuss new problems and solutions. ICoICT 2015 and ICoICT 2016 were held in Bali and Bandung, Indonesia, respectively.

ICoICT 2017 is jointly-organized by Multimedia University Malaysia and Telkom University, Bandung. Malacca is located at the west coast of peninsular Malaysia, which is about a two-hour drive from Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia. Malacca is a unique historical city with a rich trading history and multicultural heritage background inherited from previous Portuguese, Dutch and British settlements. The city was listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site in July 2008.
