State-of-the art analyses for interference fading channels use stochastic geometric models. The solution for the coverage probability, pc, of stochastic geometric wireless networks based on homogeneous Poisson point models for the geographic locations of the base stations requires the integral, pc = πλIntegrate[exp(−Ax−Bx^(α/2)), {x, 0, ∞}], where α is the path-loss exponent. An exact closed-form solution to this integral is derived for rational values of α greater than 2. The exact closed-form solution is compared to four recently published approximations to the integral.
