The Gordon Research Conference on Plasmonically-Powered Processes is dedicated to improving our understanding through discussion of the thermal, chemical, electronic, and mechanical processes that result from the energy transferred from photoexcited plasmonic nanomaterials to neighboring phases after plasmon decay. The week-long residential conference will bring together a diverse, international group of established and rising scientists whose expertise spans the optical, engineering, mathematical, materials, biochemical, and environmental sensing sciences. The conference's aim is to identify new research directions, some of which might eventually lead to important biomedical and environmental commercial applications of plasmonics, among others.
