2017 China International Conference on Insurance and Risk Management

The 8th China International Conference on Insurance and Risk Management (CICIRM 2017) will be held on July 19-22, 2017 at Grand Link Hotel in Guilin, South China's Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region. The conference was jointly organized by Tsinghua University’s China Center for Insurance and Risk Management (CCIRM) and the Cass Business School of City University, London, and hosted by School of Management, Guilin University of Finance and Economics. Following upon the last seven years’ successful meetings in Xining (July 19-22, 2010), in Beijing (July 24-27, 2011), in Qingdao (July 18-21, 2012), in Kunming (July 17-20, 2013), in Shenzhen (July 23-26, 2014) , in Hangzhou (July 15-18, 2015), and in Xi’an (27-30, 2016), CICIRM 2017 continues to launch the annual forum in China for international communication and cooperation in the studies of insurance, risk management, and actuarial science.

The CICIRM is the unique international conference in the field of insurance and risk management in China. CICIRM attendees will have the opportunity to hear from distinguished speakers, exchange ideas with leading international researchers, present recent academic and practical research in parallel sessions, and discuss the latest academic and practical research on current importance within the field of insurance, risk management and actuarial science. There have been 15 well-known professors invited as keynote speakers over the past seven years. They are Howard Kunreuther (University of Pennsylvania), Sharon Tennyson (Cornell University), Gene Lai (Washington State University), Christopher Parsons (City University London ), Patrick Brockett (University of Texas-Austin), Richard MacMinn (Illinois State University), J. David Cummins (Temple University), Mary A. Weiss (Temple University), Jan Dhaene ( KU Leuven), Georges Dionne (HEC Montréal), Christian Gollier (Toulouse School of Economics), Mark J. Browne (St. John’s University), David Babbel (University of Pennsylvania), Andreas Richter (Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München) and Patricia H. Born (Florida State University).

The Conference Proceedings have been accepted for inclusion in the Conference Proceedings Citation Index (CPCI) since 2011. The proceedings of CICIRM 2017 will continue to be published by Tsinghua University Press and submitted for indexing by CPCI.
