This conference will highlight the frontiers of Soft Matter Physics, embracing the diversity of topics where the ideas of soft matter physics play a fundamental role. The sessions will range from traditional topics of soft matter physics, including active matter, fluid mechanics and recent advances in topological phases, to biologically inspired topics ranging from proteins to gels. There will be a session exploring opportunities enabled by new methods of visualization. The collegial atmosphere of this Conference, with programmed sessions as well as opportunities for informal gatherings in the afternoons and evenings, provides an avenue for scientists from different disciplines to brainstorm and promotes cross-disciplinary collaborations in the various research areas represented. The conference will be preceded by a two-day Gordon Research Seminar (GRS), which is a unique opportunity for young researchers to share in the GRC experience and build informal networks with their peers.
