6th PAR International Leadership Conference (PILC 2017)

PAR international leadership conference (PILC) is the unique scientific - professional conference generated in response to the need for connecting theoretical knowledge and professional skills.

The specificity of the conference is a partnership with the American Institute Iacocca I Lehigh University, who are from the first year actively involved in these conferences and provide an international character and the highest level of expertise and global experience. American partners are participating in the organization of PILC for six years in a row. The Conference has become a unique opportunity for professional development and presentation of European scientists, entrepreneurs and managers.

The official languages ​​are English and Croatian, a parent theme from the areas of leadership each year dedicated to the new area.

The specificity of the conference is the dedication to leaders of modern times; for those who want to share their skills of leadership, improve them or gain. PILC is also unique for its program structure that includes scientific and professional part.

Creative (and cultural) industries contribute with over 3% of the EU’s gross domestic product and are considered the industry where a vast amount of jobs opens. Nevertheless, they are underestimated and underrepresented in the global economy. All of that is the consequence mainly of lack of information and research on the sector, as well as legal and economic obstacles occupying the sector. However, the potential of creative industries is very large, and has attracted the attention of numerous institutions, including the European Commission. However, the problem lies in the number of organizations across Europe that are struggling to find a framework for action within their own country.

PILC 2017 Conference will examine the challenges and provide solutions to the challenges in the leadership through fast growing creative and cultural industries, digital leadership, and other related topics. The aim of the sixth PILC Conference is to highlight critical points of leadership in creative industries and ICT, to compare experiences with other European countries, as well as to provide examples of positive practice in the sector.
