The Gordon Research Seminar on Physical Virology is a unique forum for graduate students, post-docs, and other scientists with comparable levels of experience and education to present and exchange new data and cutting edge ideas. This seminar is organized by junior scientists with the goal of creating an exciting and unintimidating environment for others in the early stages of their careers. We hope this will be a valuable opportunity to network with peers, develop collaborations, and present work.
As physical virology is an inherently interdisciplinary field, this seminar will feature student presentations and posters from a wide variety of focus areas covering both fundamental viral and applied viral specialties. Researchers interested in fields including viral structure, super-macromolecular analysis, viral life cycles, viral immunity, viral materials, vaccine development, and viral engineering are encouraged to apply. This seminar will also feature a mentorship elements aimed at helping attendees elucidate job prospects.
