Introduction

On behalf of the organising committee I am pleased to welcome you to the 3rd International Conference on New Advances in Civil Engineering (ICNACE’17), which will be held in Helsinki on April 28-29, 2017. The theme of this year’s ICNACE’17 is “Challenges and Recent Advances in Geotechnical Engineering”, aiming to form a venue for researchers and professionals to discuss the current issues, recent progresses and future directions in the field of Geotechnical Engineering on a wide range of cutting edge topics.
