Introduction

The Gordon Research Seminar on Translation Machinery in Health and Disease is a unique forum for graduate students, post-docs, and other scientists with comparable levels of experience and education to present and exchange new data and cutting edge ideas.

The focus of this meeting is to provide fundamental mechanistic insights on the role the translation machinery plays in physiological and pathogenic scenarios. Topics covered by an interdisciplinary selection of speakers will include: the use of systems biology and large dataset analyses to study gene translation at transcriptomics and proteomics scale, the description of novel non-canonical functions of the components of the translation machinery, and the emerging roles of post-transcriptional RNA modifications.
