Introduction

The Gordon Research Seminar on Glycobiology is a unique forum for graduate students, post-docs, and other scientists with comparable levels of experience and education to present and exchange new data and cutting edge ideas.

The focus of this meeting is to highlight recent progress on the contributions of viral, microbe, protozoan and metazoan model systems in understanding the function of glycosylation, as well as the roles of glycans, glycoproteins, and glycolipids in organismal development, mature tissue function, and the pathophysiology of glycan-related disorders. Interactions between host, microbes, and parasites will also be discussed. A mentored career development section will conclude the Seminar.
