After eleven successful meetings since the inauguration in Toulouse, France in 1983, the International Conference on Conduction and Breakdown in Solid Dielectrics (ICSD) has opened the door to liquid and gaseous dielectrics to give birth to the International Conference on Dielectrics (ICD) in 2016. The widening of the scope is in recognition of the fact that many breakthroughs in science occur at the interface between different areas and that the solid, liquid and gaseous dielectrics communities will benefit from more interaction.
The second edition of a series of biennial International Conferences on Dielectrics, fully sponsored by IEEE Dielectrics and Electrical Insulation Society, will take place in Budapest, Hungary, from Sunday 1st until Thursday 5th July 2018.
The ICD is an interdisciplinary forum that provides a unique opportunity for researchers from industry, academia and research centers to come together to review their research activities.
We warmly invite you to attend and to contribute to the 2nd International Conference on Dielectrics to be held in Budapest, Hungary. The conference will run for four full days and one half day. A tutorial session will be held on the first day of the conference. Papers are invited in all areas of solid, liquid and gas dielectrics. Special attention is given to topics focusing on the interfaces between solids, liquids and gases.
