Introduction

The DESWeb@ICDE 2018 workshop aims to bring together researchers focusing on the application of Database and Semantic Web research and technologies in solving data engineering and data management problems in the Web of Data. Following the tradition of the previous eight DESWeb events, this year’s edition is centered around a one-day workshop preferably prior to the ICDE main conference (16/4/18). The workshop will run over the course of a whole day, starting with a morning keynote talk, going on with the accepted paper presentations, and concluding with an open afternoon panel inviting all workshop’s participants to take part in the discussion.
The accepted papers will be organized around 15-minute presentations and 10-minute follow-up discussions.
The workshop is collocated with the ICDE’18 conference and will take place at CNAM, Paris, France on April 16th 2018.

Call for paper

The DESWEB workshop calls for short papers (of up to 6 pages, IEEE format) on research results and ongoing projects in the conjunction of these thematic areas. Topics of interest include but are not limited to:
