Conference theme: Corporate Behavior and New Development of Financial Markets under Technological Change and Innovation

Introduction：

The transformation and progress of science and technology are the core driving force of long-term economic growth, and also one of the most important factors affecting the productivity in a country or region. At the same time, the new economic system and policy reform can unleash innovative vitality and form a new type of production relationship. In this context, it is an important to understand the interaction between technological changes and economic institutional policies, as well as the specific impact and mechanism on enterprise management decision-making and financial market innovation and development. The research will help accelerate the construction of a new financial system guided by serving the development of the real economy in the new era, promote high-quality development of enterprises, and also contribute to the construction of independent knowledge system.

To build a high-level international platform and promote academic exchange and cooperation between among scholars globally, the School of Economics and Business Administration at Chongqing University collaborates with the internationally renowned International Review of Financial Analysis (IRFA), a SSCI Quadrant 1 Academy of Sciences journal, to hold 2024 Enterprise Management Decisions and Financial Market Development International Conference in Chongqing on November 22-23, 2024. We welcome submissions from scholars from China and across the globe.

A. Conference theme

This meeting focuses on corporate behavior and financial market issues under technological change and innovation. The selection topics for submissions include but are not limited to:

1. China's economic policy reform and enterprise management decision

2. Application of new technologies in enterprise management innovation

3. Fintech and high-quality development of financial markets

4. Environmental protection, sustainable development, and corporate behavior

5. Artificial intelligence, information environment, and capital market efficiency

6. Artificial intelligence and innovative decision making

7. Capital markets and corporate governance

8. Technological innovation and development strategy

9. Innovation driven industrial transformation and upgrading

B. Submission requirements

The submitted paper must be an unpublished and related to our theme academic paper in English. Please refer to the IRFA for the writing style. We only accept files in pdf format. You need to submit two files: (1) anonymous full version of your paper and label the file in “full paper + first author name + paper title” (e.g., Fullpaper_John_Chan_ESG_in_China) and (2) only title page file and label the file in “title + first author name + paper title” (e.g., Titlepage_John_Chan_ESG_in_China). The title page needs to include all authors’ names, affiliations, ranks, and email addresses.

Please email your submission to cmfm_cqu@163.com with subject as “Submission to 2024 CMFM.” The submission deadline will be on September 15, 2024. We shall make the acceptance decision by September 30, 2024. We encourage early submissions.

D. Conference registration

After received the conference presentation acceptance, the participants need to pay 1500 yuan conference registration. Participants need to bear their own transportation and accommodation. We shall provide the details in early October, 2024.

G. Publication opportunity

Our conference is supported by IRFA (SSCI), Quadrant 1 journal in the Chinese Academy of Science. After the conference, the guest editors (Fengwen Chen, Chongqing University; Johnny Chan, Shanghai Business School; and Shiyang Hu, Chongqing University) will invite a number of high-quality papers to submit to a special issue of IRFA using the high editorial standards of the journal. While presenting a paper is not pre-requisite of the submission to the special issue, we give preference to presented papers. We expect the special issue will appear in 2025.
