Introduction

The IEEE International Conference on Autonomous Robot Systems and Competitions gathers participants from academia and industry working in the field of autonomous robotics and related areas. It is organized within the 16th Portuguese Robotics Open, a RoboCup - sponsored local event. The conference will be held at the NERBA in Bragança, Portugal, on May 4-6, 2016 and it is promoted Polytechnic Institute of Bragança and Portuguese Robotics Society. The conference is aimed at exploring and discussing the latest trends in research and technology in the fields of robotics and related areas. Contributions from researchers, industry and outputs from collaboration between industrial and academic R&D units are welcome.
